Cam: Too much.  Let’s review that sentence.
YJ:  Okay. chang2chang2 means often,
C: chang2 chang2.
Y: qu4 shang4 ban1, go to work.
C: qu4 shang4 ban1.
Y: Do you often go to work? Ni3 chang2chang2 qu4 gong1zuo4 ma?
C: Ni3 chang2chang2 qu4 gong1zuo4 ma? Yes, everyday. How do I say that in Chinese?
Y: it’s shi4de, wo3 mei3tian1 dou1 qu4.
C: shi4de, wo3 mei3tian1 dou1 qu4.
Y: shi4de, means yes,
C: shi4de,
Y: mei3 tian1, every day,
C: mei3 tian1.
Y: dou means the whole,
C: dou,
Y: qu4 means go to work,
C: qu4,
Y: shi4de, wo3 mei3tian1 dou1 qu4.
C: shi4de, wo3 mei3tian1 dou1 qu4. yes, I go to work everyday.

Conversation 1:
A: 你常常去工作吗？

YJ: Then what time do you start?
C: I usually start at… how do I ask it in Chinese?
YJ: you can say ni3 ji2dian3 qu4 shang4 ban1?
C: ni3 ji2dian3 qu4 shang4 ban1?
YJ: ji2dian3 means what time,
C: ji2 dian3.
YJ: qu4 shang4 ban1 means go to work,
C: qu4 shang4 ban1
YJ: here it is equal to the meaning of start working.
C: got it.
YJ: ni3 ji2dian3 qu4 shang4 ban1?
C: ni3 ji2dian3 qu4 shang4 ban1? What time do you start?

YJ: wo zai4 zhao3 yi2fen4 jian1zhi2 de gong1zuo4
