R: Welcome to Chinese studio wo shi Raymond.
Y: and Wo Shi Yajie. Here we are back, in our great Chinese Studio.
R: Today we're going to do another installment of what you might hear during household talks.
Y: That's right and we're going to go all the way this time.
R: Lets listen to some Household keywords of the day.

Key words of the day

Garbage 垃圾Time to do laundry.该洗衣服了。Take out the Garbage. 把垃圾倒了。 All in today’s Chinese Studio.

Y: It Stinks in here.
R: Well I haven't changed my socks yet.
Y: Well one day is alright.
R: No I mean for the entire week!
Y: Ewww.
R: What?
Y: "Time to do laundry", this is how you say it in Chinese.
该洗衣服了。 Gai1 xi3 yi1 fu le
Gai1: it’s time to do
Xi3: wash
Yi1 fu: clothes

R: It still smells.
Y: Yea you're right what's going on.
R: Well I think I forgot to do something.
Y: Yea, like change your socks.
R: no, its not that. Its something else, hold on. Sniff Sniff
Y: What are you doing?
R: Just try it, sniff sniff.
Y: Ah its the garbage. "Take out the Garbage!" 把垃圾倒了。

Ba3 la1 ji1 dao4 le

Ba3: is put before the object
La1 ji1: garbage
Dao4: take out, throw away

Y: Well that wraps up some household talk with Chinese Studio.
R: That's right, take out the garbage and change your socks so that it doesn't pollute the world.
