2003年考研真题作文 Directions: Study the following set of drawings carefully and write an essay in which you should: 1. describe the set of drawings, interpret its meaning, and 2. point out its implications in our life. You should write about 200words neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. (20 points)  【审题解题】 2003年考察了图画作文，提纲要求共分两点：第一点是描述图画，阐述其含义；第二点是指出在我们生活中的含意，即暗含的意思。注意这里meaning 和 implication 是不同的，前者指图画本身包含的意思是什么，而后者在这里指的是在现实生活中通过类比（analogy）所揭示的道理。 题目给出了两幅相对的图画：上面一幅图中，尽管外面正在下雨，温室中的花朵却在怒放。可是下面的一幅图中，这花朵一旦搬到了外界，在雷雨中立即就凋谢了，由此我们得出了“温室中的花朵经不起风雨”的推论，这就是两幅图画的含义。 其暗含的意思可以想见，指的就是当前社会孩子的教育问题。许多父母对孩子呵护有加，百般溺爱，不让孩子吃一点苦，受一点委屈，这样对孩子就好吗？此外在当前的教育制度下，孩子学习负担过重，绝大部分时间都在学校和家庭度过，没有多少接触社会的机会，又怎能茁壮成长呢？ 经过分析文章最后定为三段。第一段是描述图画。第二段是类比于生活中孩子的教育问题，并从两方面来分析此现象产生的原因。而后的段内得出结论，这样的孩子就象温室里的花朵一样，是经不起人生的磨难的。最后一段是做结，由于提纲中没有单独例举这一点，所以此段可以非常简洁。 【核心词汇】 shape sharp contrast 形成强烈的对比 in full bloom 盛开 wither 凋谢，凋零 cannot stand natural wind and rain 经不起自然风雨 compare … to … 把…比做… bring up children with tender care 细心照顾孩子成长 owing to 由于 the examination-oriented education system 应试教育体系 be heavily burdened with studies 背着沉重的学习负担 take part in social activities 参加社会活动 stand sufferings and overcome obstacles 经受磨难和克服困难 【点石成金】 The above two pictures have shaped sharp contrast to each other. It is most likely that the drawer means to compare children in our country to the flower in his drawings and reflect a problem in the present education of our children. For one thing, nowadays, most children are brought up by their parents with tender care. Parents always try their best to meet the children’s demands, to provide them with the best environment of growth and study and to protect them form any possible harms, setbacks and sufferings. For another, owing to the present examination-oriented education system, most children ant too heavily burdened with studies to have time to take part in social activities, so they learn little about the society, the real world outside their family and school. Growing up in such a manner and such an environment, the children will inevitably and naturally lack the ability to stand sufferings and overcome obstacles when they leave their parents and step into the society.
