1993考研真题作文 Directions: A. Title: ADVERTLSEMENTS ON TV B. Time limit: 40 minutes C. Word limit: 120-150 words (not including the given opening sentence) D. Your composition should be based on the OUTLINE below and should start with the given opening sentence:“Today more and more advertisements are seen on the TV screen”。Your composition must be written clearly in the ANSWER SHEET. OUTLINE: 1. Present state；2. Reasons；3. My comments (15 points) 【审题解题】 这篇命题作文是一篇原因类的文章。文章共分三段，第一段是写当前电视上广千很多这一现象；第二段是写这一现象的原因；第三段是写个人的看法。这里实际上第一段与第三段都是相当灵活的——如果认为广告是个令人忧虑的问题，这里应提出解决的办法；如果认为广告是个好事情，则是如何推动其进一步发展。本文可采用更全面的办法，就是兼顾两个方面。如果这样写的话，要注意首尾两段的呼应。 【核心词汇】 to enter into 进入 to attract one’s attention 吸引某人的注意力 reasons for this phenomenon 这一现象的原因 in favor of 赞同，支持 【参考范文】 Advertisements on TV Today more and more advertisements are seen on the TV screen. There are so many of them that we can hardly find a TV program not accompanied by them. In a word, advertisements have entered into our life and attracted more and more attention. Generally speaking, the major reasons for this phenomenon can be listed as follows. To begin with, manufactures need advertisements to promote the sales of their products since the competition in modern market is so fierce and the choices for consumers are so many. Second, the television companies need to get funds from the advertisers to facilitate the development of their programs. Third, advertisements can help consumers to gain information about new products. Last but not the least, a successful advertisement has artistic value and social significance in itself. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of those ingenious, interesting and informative TV advertisements. No matter how many times I watch them, I rarely get bored. To begin with… Second/In the second place… Last but not the least… 【结构点评】 首段的中间一句是对首句的进一步说明，可用so… that… 这一结果状语从句来加强效果，第三句是段内的小结，呼应首句。次段分成四个方面来说，结构非常清晰，我们应注意连接词的使用。第三段分两个方面来说，处理起来不必非常平行。 【妙笔生花】 首段次句的状语从句中使用了动词加宾语加过去分词作宾补。第三句中有动宾词组的叠用。第二段分四点来写，每一点是一句话，第一点中的promote the sales of their products表示“促进他们产品的销售”，描述竞争激烈首选fierce，用intense亦可；第二点中的fund表示“资金”，facilitate表示“促进”；最后一点中的artistic value表示“艺术价值”。 末段分两方面来说，前面两句，后面只有一句。第一句使用了三个平行的形容词，而且还压了头韵。关于头韵我们来看看美国女作家Adrienne Rich名作Claiming an Education中的句子： Women everywhere are finding the courage to do this, more and more, and we are finding that courage both in our study of women in the past who possessed it, and in each other as we look to other women for comradeship, community, and challenge.
