I got the feeling I screwed up. 我觉得我把事情搞砸了。 询问了解事情办得如何时，或倾诉时可以用。 screw up （1）把......搞成一团糟（口语） （2）用螺丝钉钉住 （3）皱，扭曲（脸），眯（眼睛等） screw up one’ courage 鼓起勇气 feeling 感觉，气氛 get the feeling 有.....的感觉 Can you show me the way to the zoo ? 劳驾告诉我去动物园的路怎么走? Can you show me ....？ 这个句型很常用，除了问路也可以问一些别的东西。因为show这个词的用法比较多。 比方说，能教我怎么包饺子吗？就可以译为： Can you show me how to make dumpling? You can’t go in no matter who you are. 不管你是谁，都不能进去。 当命令某人遵守规则时可以说这句话。 no matter who = whoever 无论是谁 whoever 多在句中作主语成分，而no matter who 是引导状语从句。 此外还有no matter who ／what ／which /where ／when ／how 这句话的重点是让步状语从句 在英语中wh-ever可作主句的疑问词，也可引导名词性从句，还可引导让步状语从句。引导让步状语从句时常可换成“no matter + 相应的wh-词”，在引导名词性从句时只能用wh-ever。 比如：Whenever I’m unhappy, it is my friend who cheers me up.(=No matter when I’m unhappy, it is my friend who cheers me up.)不管什么时候我不高兴，总是我的朋友给我鼓气。 这句话很显然，只要你不想让别人进入某个地方，你都可以对他说：You can’t go in no matter who you are! I cannot help overhearing... 我无意中听到你们的谈话…… cannot help：不得不、不能避免、不禁 cannot help后加名词、代词、doing或one’s doing。 cannot help=cannot help but，cannot help but后加动词原形。 例如 When I try to speak, I cannot help making mistakes.当我开口说话时，我禁不住犯错误。 I cannot help but often think of my parents.我禁不住经常想到我的父母。 overhear [vt]. 无意中听到,偷听 I have a tough row to hoe. 日子难熬。 感叹生活境况不好时用 a tough row to hoe是美语中的一个习语，hoe 本义是锄头，作动词是锄地， 有一块难耕的地，意思就是have a difficult situation to deal with 处境艰难，遇到麻烦，其中的tough也可以用hard 替代，a hard row to hoe 又如：Workers have a tough row to hoe in today’s factories. 现在工厂里的工人日子不好过。 与hoe和row相关的另一个常用习语是 hoe one’s own row， 意思是自食其力，自谋生计。 There ’s no reason to apologize. 不必道歉。 当不是某人的错，而某人却为此事道歉时，可以使用该句。 句子里没有很难的语法，reason 原因、理由 n. ； apologize道歉 v.
