I have been awake since midnight. 我从半夜就醒了。 半夜醒来后一直睡不着就可以用该句。 例句： A:Hey ,it is still so early ,you do not need to get up so early.The game begins at 9:00. B:I have been awake since midnight ,I am nervous and can’t fall asleep I’ll give you a lift if you like. 如果你愿意可以搭我的车。 通常是主动向别人提供帮助，让别人搭顺风车。 如果你愿意可以搭我的车。 give sb. a lift - 送某人一程,让某人搭便车 A: Where are you going? B: I’m going to the railway station. A: I’ll give you a lift if you like. B: Great! Don’t waste my time anymore. 别再浪费我的时间了! waste n. 废物,浪费,损耗,消耗,荒地,垃圾,地面风化物 When you are tired of talking with one, you could end your conversation in saying this. When someone tries to persuade you, you could use this sentence to present your steady opinion. We can put it off till Tuesday at 9:30. 我们可以推迟到星期二9点30分。 put off - 延期、拖延, 通常指会议、活动等因故不能如期举行而不得不延期，强调“有意识地延至将来某一特定时间”, 在多数情况下, 后面说明改在何时进行,这个词比 较通俗口语化。例如： 1. The meeting has been postponed to Friday. 2. Don’t put off your assignment until tomorrow. 3. Let’s put this off till some other time. put off 之后如果接动词,要用动名词形式。例如: 1. Don’t put off getting through your homework，it needed to be handed in on time.
